South Africa Premier League giants Mamelodi Sundowns have set sights on signing TP Mazembe winger Solomon Asante.
The former Berekum Chelsea winger who has been heavily linked with a possible move away from the Congolese side is reported to be on the radar of The Brazilians, with initial contacts being made.
Asante is believed to have caught the eye of Coach Pitso Mosimane during their CAF Champions League triumph as a result making him a prime target for the South African side.
The Ghana international has often been linked with a move away for Mazembe, but President of the club, Moise Katumbi, has on all these occasions managed to convince the 25-year-old out of the idea of leaving with offers from some European clubs even rejected.
Ghana defender Rashid Sumaila was the last Ghanaian to feature for the South African side where he helped The Brazilians to league triumph.
