A man, believed to be about 42 years old, was on Thursday morning found dead at Misiga in the Kuka Forest near Bawku.
Abugri Mumuni was found dead in the forest in a donkey cart wrapped with sacks.
The Bawku Divisional Crime Officer, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Adamu Seidu, told the Ghana News Agency that the police suspected the victim was murdered around the Misiga Town and later dumped in the forest.
He however noted that there were no traces as to where the victim was killed but investigations had begun and the perpetrators would be brought to book soon.
DSP Seidu indicated that the reasons for Mumuni's murder had not been established but gave the assurance that the Police were working round the clock to ensure justice.
He called on the relatives of the deceased to remain calm to enable the police get to the bottom of the matter.
DSP Seidu warned people who are fond of taking the law into their own hands to desist from it because the law would catch up with them.
