Deputy Chief Executive of Microfinance and Small Loans Centre (MASLOC), has donated an undisclosed amount of money to support some victims of a fire that razed down Achimota Market last Monday.
Mustapha Abubakar says the donation was his personal support to the victims because the incident happened in the constituency he resides.
"The fire was unfortunate and I can't just stand there and see these market women suffer. Although the donation is not big my hope is that it will help to cut down their loss", said Mr. Abubakar.

He said the donation was aimed more towards consoling the many hardworking market men and women affected by the January 6 inferno.
Authorities are yet to ascertain the cause of the fire.
The fire was said to have started around 10:30 p.m, razing down a cosmetic shop, a stationery shop, a butchery and about 20 containers.
The National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) has promised to roll out a comprehensive programme to help those who lost their property to the fire.
