Medeama have rubbished widespread reports claiming Tom Strand will not travel with the team to South Africa ahead of the side’s CAF Confederation Cup play-off tie against Mamelodi Sundowns on Saturday.
The local media has reported the Swedish trainer has been left out of the squad due to his recent conduct at the club.
The club has moved to deny the claims, insisting it’s a figment of people’s imagination.
“I don’t know where the reports are coming from. He is traveling with the team,” Chief Executive James Essilfie told medeamaafmonline.com
“We are focused on the game and don’t want to get distracted by such reports. It’s a total fabrication.”
