Ghanaian musician Medikal is set to embark on a nationwide tour with the National Youth Authority (NYA) as part of efforts to intensify the fight against drug abuse among young people.
The tour forms part of the Authority’s “Red Means Stop” campaign, a national initiative aimed at raising awareness about the dangers associated with the synthetic drug known as “Red” and other harmful substances.
Medikal announced his intention to support the nationwide outreach after being officially named an ambassador for the campaign on Thursday, March 12, at the Ministry of Youth Development and Empowerment.

Speaking during the event, the musician said he was committed to using his influence to help educate young people about the risks of substance abuse and encourage them to make responsible choices.
He noted that the planned tour would involve visits to schools and communities across the country, where he will engage directly with young people and share messages promoting drug-free living.

The campaign is being spearheaded by the National Youth Authority in collaboration with the Ministry of Youth Development and Empowerment as part of broader efforts to tackle the growing concern over drug use among Ghana’s youth.

Officials say the nationwide outreach will combine education, advocacy and public engagement activities to help curb substance abuse and promote healthier lifestyles among young people.

Medikal expressed optimism that the tour will help amplify the campaign’s message and inspire more young people to stay away from drugs while focusing on building a positive future.
