An army recruit has died during a training exercise at the Army Recruit Training School in the Shai Hills.23-years-old William Kwaku Anumu is said to have collapsed and died after a nine-kilometre endurance walk.Public Relations Officer for the Ghana Armed Forces, Colonel Mbawine Atintande told Joy News the endurance walk is a normal routine by all trainee recruits and officers during training.He said the deceased fell unconscious on his return from the walk and all attempts to resuscitate him proved futile.He said a committee will be set up to investigate the cause of death.Source: Joy News/Ghana
