President of the World Bank Group Jim Yong Kim has consoled the people of Ghana on the death of the country’s former president, Prof. John Evans Atta Mills.A letter written to President John Mahama and signed by Mr. Jim Kim Yong read: “It is with deep sorrow that we learned the passing of President John Evans Atta Mills, President of the Republic of Ghana. Ghana, and Africa has lost a great, humble and trusted leader”.“On my own behalf, and on behalf of the entire staff of the World Bank Group, may I express our heartfelt condolences to the government and the people of Ghana, particularly to the late President’s wife, Her Excellency Ernestina Naadu Mills and to his entire family”, the letter said.The letter assured Ghanaians of the World Bank Group’s continued support to the nation in such a difficult time.“Our thoughts are with you in these sorrowful moments”, the letter concluded.
