Upper East Regional Minister, Alhaji Limuna Mohammed Muniru has debunked allegations made last week by people of the Sherigu community that he used his office to move a proposed Bolgatanga Regional Referral Hospital project from their area to Winkogo.
The people of Sherigu last Thursday embarked on a demonstration in which they expressed their anger over the issue.
However Alhaji Limuna Mohammed-Muniru who on Tuesday visited the chief and people of Sherigu said the allegations leveled against him were not true.
He also pleaded with the community members to exercise restraint and reverse their earlier stance not to allow the Bolgatanga Municipal Assembly to have access to a landfill site in the community to offload waste.
Alhaji Mohammed-Muniru later visited the proposed site for the regional referral hospital project.
