Mr. Kwadwo Nyamekye–Marfo, the Brong–Ahafo Regional Minister, has commended Mr. Francis Opoku Boateng, the former Regional Coordinating Director, for being an excellent and experienced civil servant who worked with exemplary dedication and commitment to his work.
He said the former Chief Director exhibited selflessness during the short period he acted as the regional minister and acknowledged his sterling contributions to the socio-economic development of the region and the nation.
Mr Nyamekye-Marfo said this at a send–off party held in honour of Mr. Boateng at his residence in Sunyani.
Mr. Boateng spent 35 years in the civil service and worked in the Western, Ashanti, Central and Brong–Ahafo regions.
He is credited with being the only the Regional Coordinating Director to have worked with four successive regional ministers in the Brong-Ahafo Region.
Mr Boateng said throughout his service there were some challenging moments and urged civil servants to maintain a good working relationship with their superiors to promote rapid national development.
He later introduced the new Regional Coordinating Director, Mr. Felix B. Ghaahaah.
Nana Kwadwo Nyarko III, the Pranghene, praised Mr. Boateng and said his service in the region was marked with excellence and humility.
