A 22-year-old pregnant girl, lady Ataberi was allegedly butchered to death by her mother at about 0200 hours on April 20 at Bole in the Northern Region.
The father of the deceased described simply as Mr Ataberi told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) that his wife was behaving abnormally and quarrelled with the daughter a lot, for what reasons he did not know until the tragedy occurred.
The Bole District Police Commander, ASP John Nyankumago confirmed the incident and said currently the woman was in custody and assisting in the investigations.
There is still no clear reason why the woman committed the heinous crime.
