The national peace council has launched a five minute documentary tailored towards maintaining peace before, during and after the December polls.
The documentary will start airing from Friday 12th October, 2012.
According to members the sketch seeks to demonstrate the fact that political differences should not become a trigger for violence in our electoral and social relations.
The group believes it will afford every Ghanaian the opportunity to see our democratic growth as a unique opportunity that enables us to harness our differences for the sustainable development of the country.
A member of the group, Dr. Amo Darko reiterated the need to safe guard the peace in this country.
He underscored the fact that Ghana is bigger than any political party
He added that, ‘‘proactive conflict prevention is more cost effective that reactive conflict prevention.
It is also clear that sustainable development is impossible without sustainable peace building initiatives’’.
