New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament (MP) for Assin Central in the Central Region, Kennedy Agyepong has opined that his political opponents are 'more sensible' than his party.
His reason, he said lies in the fact that the NDC are 'very crafty' in 'stealing elections' than the NPP.
"Let me confess, the NDC leadership has more hom sense than the NPP...we are too bookish while they are very practical...," he said.
The opposition party have consistently accused the NDC of rigging the 2012 polls with the help of the Electoral Commission (EC), an allegation the NDC has denied citng the ruling of Ghana's Supreme Court in the election petition to butress their point..
Speaking on Oman fm's Boiling Point Thursday, the Legislator argued that the only way for the NPP to match the NDC is to also learn the subtle and crafty way the NDC does its things when it comes to electoral matters.
"Let's put aside the coats for sometime...put on shorts and also face them, play the 'bugaga' tactics they have been playing too...enough of the book book things,,,," he said.
Matching the NDC boot for boot, he said, entails his party forgeting about certain electoral laws put in place by the EC and acting the 'NDC way' on voting days.
The call for radicalism, he insisted, does not entail he 'preaching war' but just a call on his party to rise up and protect their ballots; Ken continued that the party would be better off if they disobey certain political rules 'like the NDC does.'
He said that includes the LI 71 which the EC uses most at times.
"As for me, I won't work with that LI in Assin or the guys would rig the ballots there...," he said.
He further called on the NPP to not only keep close eye on the NDC but also the EC which he said he has evidence to the effect that they are in bed with the NDC.
