National Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Parliament for Ho West constituency in the Volta Region has signaled his intention to resign from the legislature, Joy News has learnt.
Emmanuel Kwasi Bedzrah is said to have sent a letter communicating his decision to the House and copied the leadership of the NDC minority.
Details concerning the action of the Ranking Member on Parliament’s Education committee are scanty but Joy News understands he is unhappy about an alleged decision by the party leaders to suspend elections in his constituency without his knowledge.
The matter has been referred to the leadership of the Minority group who met in an attempt to influence their colleague to rescind his decision.
However, the meeting was brief because Mr Bedzrah, who is also the Chair for the Volta Caucus in Parliament, was not part.
Reports say Mr. Bedzrah is accusing NDC leaders of plotting to oust him from Parliament.
Mr. Emmanuel Kwasi Bedzrah is a Procurement and Project Management Consultant and has been in Parliament since 2009.
