Newcastle United striker Nile Ranger has been charged with criminal damage.
The Newcastle striker had been involved in a row with his ex-girlfriend in North London and has been arrested.
Police arrived to find the doors smashed off its hinges at the woman’s flat, with the 21-year-old’s car parked by, the incident took place at 5.30am on Sunday morning.
A source informed The Sun: “The front door was smashed down. It was flat on the floor. A man was heard shouting, ‘I love you’. Police found a girl in the flat who was very scared.”
Police stated that Ranger will appear at Enfield Magistrates court on Monday.
Ranger has struggled to crack the first team at Newcastle, especially since the Magpies’ promotion to the Premier League. The forward nicknamed the ‘Power Ranger’ went on loan to Sheffield Wednesday last year, he has also been loaned out to Barnsley during his stay on Tyneside.
