The Northern Regional Police Command has begun investigations into the circumstances that led to the death of a 24-year-old, military officer in Tamale.Vincent Ohene Taido, an Air Force officer, while on duty last Friday night, excused his colleagues to attend to nature’s call but never returned.He was later found hanged dead at the barracks forest the next morning.ASP Ebenezer Tetteh, Public Relations Officer of the Northern Regional Police Command told Joy News a team of police officers have been to the scene to conduct preliminary investigations.“We have also initiated investigations into the whole matter...two or three witnesses are yet to volunteer information to us”, he stated.However, ASP Tetteh disclosed the Police are yet to lay hands on the deceased’s mobile phone, which he believes can facilitate investigations.The remains of the military officer has since been deposited at the Tamale West Hospital awaiting autopsy.
