The National Petroleum Authority is blaming the constant shortage of LPG to the lack of adequate infrastructure for storage. Some consumers over the past weeks have been complaining about the difficulty in getting the product, a situation NPA says should normalize by this weekend.According to the authority, the Tema Oil Refinery which is the only LPG production facility produces just a fraction of the daily consumption.Public Relations Officer at NPA Yaro Kasambata told Joy Business unless these challenges are addressed it will be difficult to stop the perennial shortages. He said if the storage and distribution of LPG is decentralized, it will help save the situation.Source: Joy Business/Ghana
