There is misunderstanding at the Rapture School Complex in the Ledzorkuku Constituency, Teshie, Accra where the NPP is electing a flagbearer to lead the party ahead of the 2016 elections.
Tens of delegates who came with the intention to vote, do not have their names in the register and have thus been prevented from voting.
That has created a rather chaotic scene at the polling station, with police having a torrid time controlling the angry crowd.
One of the angry delegates suspects her name was deliberately taken out of the register to deny her the right to vote.
Others have threatened to disrupt the process if they are not allowed to vote. They do not understand why they were allowed to vote in the constituency elections in December last year, only for their names to be taken out in the flagbearer elections.

Angry delegate being restrained
Constituency Chairman Mordecai Quarshie told Myjoyonline.com the original album was changed at the last hour.
He could not explain why, except to assure that the elections will go on smoothly in the interest of the party.
The Presiding Officer told Myjoyonline.com 890 delegates are expected to vote but only 85 have voted as at 8:40.
Update:
278 out of the expected 890 delegates have voted as at 11:40 am. Tensions are still high as delegates whose names have been expunged, continue to threaten to disrupt the voting process.
