The New Patriotic Party (NPP) would hold its polling station executive elections throughout the country from Friday, September 25, to Sunday, September 27, 2009.
According to a press release signed by the party’s Communication Director, Kwaku Kwarteng, the elections would be preceded by compilation of polling station registers of NPP members at every polling station in the country between Thursday the 10th of September 2009 and Sunday the 20th of September 2009.
“On the Sunday, the 20th of September 2009, notice of election shall be given and displayed at the usual meeting place of the NPP members in that polling station.
“This then paves the way for polling station elections at every polling station on the following Friday the 25th, Saturday the 26th and Sunday the 27th of September 2009.”
The statement said the polling station elections would be supervised by a Polling Station Election Committee made up of national, regional and constituency representatives.
It therefore encouraged all members to take active part in the exercise.
