The National Democratic Congress has accused the NPP of employing age old tricks of fear and deception to win the presidential run-off slated for December 28.
“What Akufo-Addo and his desperate team are doing at the moment is a modification of the same systematic lies and fabrication that have characterised NPP’s tenure over the last eight years.”
Speaking at press briefing, the NDC’s Propaganda Secretary, Fiifi Kwetey said the NPP was bent on killing the NDC in order to retain power.
“The current hit list is no different from the cock and bull assassination plot cooked by Kweku Baako, the leader of the NPP media mafia, that Victor Smith was planning to kill him.
“The NPP 419 hit list is no different from the fabricated lie by Egbert Faibille that NDC gurus were plotting to kill NDC’s Haruna Iddrisu.”
According to Fiifi Kwetey, anytime the NPP is desperate, they resort to 419 tricks in order to survive.
He said the NPP flag-bearer believed in putting himself first and Ghana last.
“The conduct of Akufo-Addo at the last NPP congress shows that even when it comes to party, the man’s belief is me first, party second.”
Recounting an incident that happened during the NPP’s delegates’ congress last year, the Propaganda Secretary said Mr. Paul Afoko was framed up through wicked lies.
“In connivance with Lord Commey, NPP’s National Organiser, Akufo-Addo’s team blatantly fabricated the lie that Paul Afoko, a close associate of Alan Kyerematen was distributing dollars to delegates at the party’s congress.
“It did not matter Akufo-Addo that this was a lie, it did not matter to him that this lie could have caused the death of innocent Paul Afoko. The only thing that Akufo-Addo cared about was how that vicious lie would turn the minds of delegates away from Alan Kyerematen and enable him win no matter the cost.”
