The Executive Director of the National Service Scheme (NSS) and parliamentary candidate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Yagaba/Kubori Constituency has annexed the seat for the NPP.
Hon. Mustapha Ussif who won the seat in the 2012 elections but later lost to his predecessor, Alhaji Ibrahim Abdul Rauf Tanko in 2016 has successfully made his way back to parliament for the 2nd time with a landslide victory.
He won with 64.01% (18,153) of total votes cast against 33.14% (9,393) votes by the incumbent, Alhaji Ibrahim Abdul Rauf Tanko.
This becomes the second time Hon. Ussif and the NPP have won the seat since its creation in 2004.
