Former Deputy Sports Minister, OB Amoah has cautioned the government that the passage of a sports Legislative Instrument is no guarantee the country will be restored to its membership of the International Olympic Committee.Sports officials in the country from the level of the sports ministry have been talking about how Ghana’s suspension by the IOC will be reversed when the country reviews its sports laws, a requirement by the international sports body.But OB Amoah has told Joy Sports the passing of the LI alone may not necessarily restore the credibility and integrity of the Ghana Olympic Committee.He said the government must demonstrate that it is not meddling in the activities of the GOC, the reason for which the body was suspended by the IOC.Source: Joy Sports/Ghana
