President John Dramani Mahama says although the ruling National Democratic Congress’ campaign for the December 7 polls may have suffered a setback, the party will confidently win the race to the Jubilee House.
The NDC’s opponents for the December 7 polls have been crisscrossing the length and breadth of the country to canvass for votes whilst the President has been attending to affairs of state outside the country.
But addressing NDC supporters at the Kotoka International airport upon his arrival from the 67th United Nations General Assembly meeting in the US, President Mahama said although it was only nine weeks to the elections, he is unperturbed.
According to President Mahama that NDC will rely on its numerous achievements attained within three and half years in office to seek their retention in office.
Nevertheless, President Mahama stated that the party has to work hard in order to win the polls. He tasked the party supporters to “hit the ground running” since the crucial polls is only nine weeks away.
According to him, a victory in the polls would mean a victory for late President John Mills.
President Mahama also said they will use their campaign launch this week in the Volta Region to respond to several issues and news conferences their opponents held while he was away.
