THE Cocoa House in the Bronx was transformed into an astounding stage of musical performance when the DVD of Papa Shee’s latest album was launched.
A large number of Africans and Americans who trooped to the Cocoa House to witness the launching of “Touch the Sky”, Papa Shee’s latest musical video, did not regret as they were treated to good live musical performances from various international highlife artistes.
Papa Shee, the Ghanaian highlife star who could be described as a protégé of highlife legend, the late Akwasi Ampofo Agyei, was simply incredible on stage as he dished out some of his best songs including those on the new album to the audience.
Equally good on stage were some international Ghanaian artistes in the United States who provided good music in support of the event.
As if these were not enough for the event, the songs on DVD were premiered on two giant screens to the admiration of the audience.
The first copy was bought for 3,000 dollars at the show which was produced by Hashim Haruna of Boogie Down Nima Productions.
After entertaining the audience, Papa Shee thanked his fans for the encouragement and expressed appreciation to his manager Kurt Johnson for the support.
