A Child’s Right Activist wants the parents of the two children who died at the Labadi Beach on Easter Monday to be charged with negligence.
The children who were accompanied by an elderly sibling were crushed to death as revelers rushed out of the beach.
They were part of three people who died after a stampede at the exit point of the beach, Easter Monday.
Bright Appiah says by failing to accompany the children, who were below 12 years to the beach, the parents broke the law.
He said the rights of the children to protection have been abused by the parents.
He said the parents have committed an offence against the children and expressed surprise the police did not press charges against them when they (parents) came to the station.
Police at La say the parents cannot be charged until investigations are complete.
