Ghana legend Abedi Pele has not ruled out coaching the Black Stars in future after part-time coaching career proved to be a hit.
The three-time Africa Player of the Year, who is the owner of second tier club Nania FC, coached the side to the final of the MTN FA Cup on Sunday.
Despite not having any formal training in coaching, the former Marseille midfielder has coached his club since it started in 2008.
With the successes he has chalked so far, Abedi wouldn't rule out coaching the Black Stars if the position becomes vacant.
"When I retired from football I didn't really decide to be a coach," Abedi Pele said.
"I decided to develop kids to give something back to my country given what my country has done for me. The national team gave me the chance to be seen by the teams abroad.
"If the chance comes up for me to coach my country in future, I will say nobody knows tomorrow.
"I can’t say my experience in coaching is up there yet but with time you never know."
The Black Stars, currently coached by Serbian Goran Stevanovic, are regarded as one of the best teams in Africa.
In recent times Ghana's top coaching position has attracted some big names with Marcel Desailly, the ex-France defender, also expressing interest in taking charge of the team in future.
