Football legend Pele was rushed to the hospital after suffering stomach pains.
The 74-year-old had to cancel a book signing at a museum in Santos, Brazil, yesterday.
One of his aides said he expects the Brazilian great to be released from São Paulo’s Albert Einstein Hospital later today.
Jose Fornos Rodrigues said: “He made some tests and will be discharged.
“Everything is fine.”
The event at the museum was to honour the footballer’s glittering career and will be rescheduled.
Pele, who was named Football Player of the Century by the governing body FIFA, helped Brazil win the World Cup three times.
The former Santos striker, who scored over 1,000 career goals, is widely regarded as one of the greatest footballers of all time.
