Some two occupants of a Nissan Pickup with registration number GN 6552 15 narrowly escaped death when the car in which they were traveling in plunged into water at Weija Junction in Accra.
The incident happened in the early hours of Tuesday.
According to eyewitnesses, the occupants were rescued and sent to a nearby hospital after suffering what appeared to be trauma.
They said the victims were lucky to have survived the incident as the car almost submerged.
The cause of the accident was not known but residents say the car veered off the road into a stream close by.
But for the bravery of some eyewitnesses who quickly jumped into the stream to save the two victims, the incident would have been deadly.
When Joynews got to the scene there was no policeman around but there were towing car operators attempting to tow the car.
