More than two hundred markets in the Eastern Region are being disinfected to enhance the condition of hygiene in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak.
The Municipal and District Assemblies are undertaking the exercise under the supervision of the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development.
As part of measures to ensure that residents do not interrupt the exercise, all shops, markets and other public places of gathering have been made to temporarily shut operations.
