The Accra regional police command has begun investigations into the murder of a young man at Kwabenya Point One, a suburb of Accra.
The young man, found in a red attire and jeans, believed to be in his late 20s or early 30s was allegedly murdered Sunday dawn. He had been beaten with blood oozing from parts of his body.
A resident Sammy Dzibilah told Joy News he suspects the deceased was murdered elsewhere and his body dumped just behind the Point One Pentecost Church in Kwabenya.
It is not clear yet who masterminded the murder or the reason for the murder but ASP Freeman Tettey, Public Relations Officer of the Accra Regional police command told Joy News they have begun investigations into it.
He said the body has been conveyed to the Police Hospital Morgue "while investigations continue."
"We suspected he was actually murdered because upon examination the investigators discovered cuts on the body. As I indicated we will be conducting thorough investigations but the fact also remains that he was murdered or he was killed and it could be that he was lynched," Freeman Tettey added.
The Accra Police Public Relations officer cautioned people against taking the law into their own hands.
