Police in Kumasi say their investigations have revealed a young man who was gunned down at Amakom in the Ashanti Region last Saturday was killed by volunteers of the community watch committee.Residents say they suspect two men on a motor bike attacked the man in the early hours of that day.But police investigations appear to point to the contrary. The Ashanti Regional Public Relations Officer, Chief Supt. Mohammed Tanko tells Luv News police are reliably informed neighborhood watch committee members shot him on suspicion that he was a thief.Police are however unable to trace the volunteers to establish the basis for their authority to carry firearms in breach of the rules.
