Police in Accra have mounted a search for the killers of the chief of Achiaman, a village near Amasaman.
The late Nii Kwartey died on the spot when unknown assailants fired several rounds of bullets at the Nissan Land Rover vehicle on which he was travelling to Accra.
The Accra Police say an investigation into the matter has started to apprehend the perpetrators.
The Accra Regional Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Cyprian Zenge said the police are doing intelligence gathering on the murder.
He said the investigations may take some time but assured the killers will be arrested and dealt with according to the law.
