The Northern Regional Police Command has begun investigations into the circumstances leading to the death of a police officer at his duty post in Tamale.
The police officer was found dead at his duty post at the residence of the Deputy Northern Regional Police Commander on Friday morning, February 15, 2008.
Speaking to Joy News, the Tamale Crime Officer, Ebenezer Lartey said the police suspected foul play because the officer did not die a natural death.
More so clots of blood were found on him indicating he must have been attacked he stressed.
he cop said the police were yet to establish whether the officer went to duty with a rifle because as they did not find a rifle where the body was found.
