The Inspector General of Police (IGP), John Kudalor, has ordered the deployment of more officers to Ajumako-Besease in Central Region after a political violence left several people injured.
Clashes between members of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) and opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) led to one sympathiser of the governing party and two others from the opposition party sustaining various degrees of injuries.

Director of Operations at the Police Service, Superintended Ben Agordzo, says a team of police from the headquarters in Accra have been deployed to the area.
The reinforcement, he explained will liaise with the Central Regional Police Command to fast track investigations to the violent clashes.
“We are leaving no stone unturned. We are all concerned about the violence at the political front and the counter attacks. We will not let it go without taking serious note of it.
“We will definitely get at those people and they will face the law," Supt Agordzo said.
Police are yet to establish the cause of the violence.
However, Police say they received a distress call from some NPP supporters on the evening of Saturday, October 1, that they have been attacked during a meeting.
According to Police, the NPP supporters said in a bid to protect themselves from the attackers, who are believed be NDC supporters, they mounted a swift counter-attack.
Eye-witness and some of the injured are currently assisting with the investigation.
The violence in the Central Region town follows a similar one three weeks ago at Kukuom in the Eastern Region.
