Government has warned telecom operators it will no longer tolerate poor services once new guidelines on erection of masts are introduced in the next two weeks
The new set of guidelines will regulate telecom operators on the erection of mobile phone towers or masts and other infrastructure for operators in the telecoms sector.
According to the Minister of Communications, the guidelines which have been put together by his ministry and the Environment and Science Ministry should bring to an end the numerous excuses the mobile phone companies give for the poor services they render.
Haruna Iddrisu explains to Joy Business the guidelines spell out minimum performance standards and that excuses will no longer be tolerated.
He says the guidelines will also regulate the erection of masts especially, close to educational institutions.
