The PPP wishes to convey its special greetings to all Christians and Ghanaians in general as we mark the annual commemoration of the birth of Jesus Christ. The celebration of the birth of Christ brings with it great lessons of giving, sacrifice and selflessness. The story of the birth of Christ talks of God giving his only begotten Son to become our Saviour and Redeemer.
We wish to remind all Christians in particular and Ghanaians in general of the relevance of giving, sacrifice and selflessness especially on the part of public servants including members of the NDC administration.
The current political leaders should use their talents to give back progress and development to the people and save us from the economic hardships experienced in 2014. They should provide education and job opportunities and not more illiteracy, poverty and joblessness among the youth.
We need salvation in 2015 from cedi depreciation, corruption, incompetence and mismanagement. The Ghana Cedi recorded one of its worst depreciation in the year 2014. Already the rating agency, FITCH, has warned that the Cedi would start deprecating again if the government does not quickly reach an agreement with the IMF.
The PPP wishes to remind the NDC government that we need salvation from another year of economic hardship. The government should implement a free and compulsory education programme for all Ghanaians from Kindergarten to Senior High School as means of a major transformation of our economy. The President and the NDC government should spend proceeds from our oil deposits to fund this education policy as a means of an equitable distribution of our national resources. This should be the most significant gift that we can get from the numerous natural resources God has given to this country.
We should remain wide Awake!

National Secretary
