Angry supporters of the Progressive Peoples Party in the Tamale South Constituency have attacked the convoy of the party’s running mate, Madam Eva Lokko for showing up late for a meeting with them.
Madam Lokko, who was scheduled to address the gathering at 3pm Tuesday as part of her familiarization tour of the region, arrived almost four hours later at Kakpayili.
The peeved supporters are reported to have banged-hard at cars and vandalizing party billboards to register their displeasure at Dr. Nduom's running mate behaviour.
Reasons that contributed to Madam Eva Lokko's late arrival at the scheduled grounds are still not clear.
