Prayerthon 2011, the maiden edition of the 24-hour prayer marathon held at the Trade Fair Centre in Accra is set to become an annual affair.This is the demand of the thousands of the faithful who attended the day-long, non-denominational prayer, praise and worship harvest.The event, organized by Multi TV under the theme, Heal Our Land, witnessed powerful ministration by some of the nation's most renowned pastors and gospel musicians.Seasoned men of God including Action Chapel's Archbishop Duncan Williams; Reverend Sam Korankye Ankrah of the Royal House Chapel International; Bishop Charles Agyin Asare of Word Miracle Church International; and Rev. Dr. Ampiah Kwofie, General Overseer, Global Revival Ministries.Others were Rev. Albert Asante; Rev. Ama Afo Blay; Rev. David Nabegmado; Rev. Bob Asare; Rev. Ato Hagan; Rev. Fitz Odonkor and Rev. Raymond Acquah.The rest also included Prophet Yaw Annor; Rev. Sunshine Anaba; Rev. Dela Winfred Yashenm; Rev. Dr. Yaw Frimpong Manso; Rev. Yaw Frempong Manso and Rev. Anyani Boadum.Prayers and thanksgiving were offered for the nation and its leaders; the executive, the judiciary, legislature, media and Ghanaians in general. Prayers were also offered for business leaders and the underprivileged and for peace and prosperity of the nation.Musicians (Individuals and Groups) including No Tribe, Danny Nettey and the Covenant Family Choir, Josh Laryea, Mariam Anquandah, Joe Mettle; Daniel Ola Dake, Joe Beecham, Zuta, Nii Okai, Kwasi Oteng, Michael Ahlijah, Michael Amekugee and the chosen Vessels, Uncle Ato, Ohemaa Mercy, Soul Winners, Power Vision Chapel International Choir and ICGC Praise Team were all there to minister and support the event.Chief Operating Officer of Multi-TV, Ken Ashigbey, full of joy for the massive public response and desire to pray for the nation, expressed gratitude to all who participated to make Prayerthon 2011 a success.Source: Myjoyonline.com/Ghana
