The Moderator of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana Rt. Rev. Prof. Emmanuel Martey has paid a special visit to the wife of the late President of the Republic of Ghana, Mrs. Ernestina Naadu Mills at her private residence on the Spintex road in Accra.
Rev. Martey use the visit to convey the deep condolence of the entire Presbyterian Church of Ghana to the bereaved family and also prayed for them.
The Moderator was accompanied by Rev. Dr. G.N.N. Odonkor, Ga Presbytery Chairperson, Apostle Jude Hama, former Chief Executive Officer of Scripture Union, Ghana and Mr. Emmanuel Osei Akyeampong, Public Relations Officer of the PCG.
Mrs. Naadu Mills in a conversation briefed the delegation about the events leading to the death of the late President and urged the church to pray for the bereaved family. She intimated that her joy is complete because the president died in the Lord.
In another development, two Ecumenical Bodies and Partners of the church, World Communion of Reformed Churches and the EMS have sent messages of condolence to the President, John Dramani Mahama.
Members of the church are encouraged to bear the wife and family of the late President in prayer.
