President Nana Akufo-Addo on Wednesday, May 27 cut a sod for the construction of an ultra-modern 4-storey academic building for the Ghana Law School at East Legon near the University of Ghana Business School in Accra.
The project which is known as the Law Village Project is a first of its kind is expected to be completed in November this year.
The facility which will be occupied by the premier law institution from November will have a state-of-the-art 1,300-seater multi-purpose conference hall, lecture halls with teleconferencing facilities, a library complex with traditional electronics, an archiving facility, moot courts, sick Bay, students lounge, an SRC Centre, a book shop, faculty offices, common rooms, 50 executive rooms (hostels) and an office for the General Legal Council.
The Attorney-General Godfred Yeboah Dame, Chief Justice, Kwasi Anin Yeboah, President of the Ghana Bar Association Mr Tony Forson were among some of the top dignitaries who witnessed the ceremony.
