The president Prof. J.E.A. Mills has ended his tour of the Central Region with a church service on Sunday, March 29, 2009.
The tour was to thank the people for voting overwhelmingly for him during last December’s presidential elections.
During the visit, he held meetings traditional leaders and fishermen.
The president told the fishermen to exercise patience as efforts were being made to stop pair-trawling and provide them with premix fuel which have been their major headache.
President Mills was also billed to visit the Western Region but that has been truncated.
This, reports say, is because the people he was expected to meet with in the region called on him at the Castle.
He expected back in Accra by Sunday evening.
