President John Evans Atta Mills has set up a Policy Unit at the Presidency to work towards the attainment of the goals of the NDC Government.
The Policy Unit is headed by the Vice – President, His Excellency John Dramani Mahama.
The Evaluation and Oversight Wing of the Policy Unit is headed by Dr. Tony Aidoo.
It will assess the performance of key Government functionaries as they relate to the broader national strategic policy objectives, including the implementation of Cabinet decisions and International Treaties and Conventions ratified by Ghana.
The office will monitor, evaluate and advise on the implementation of Government policies.
The Manifesto Implementation Wing of the Policy Unit is headed by Dr. (Mrs.) Christine Amoako – Nuamah.
It will be responsible for ensuring the coordination and implementation of the policies, programmes and projects contained in the 2008 Manifesto of the NDC as well as platform pledges and promises made by President Mills and other leading members of the Party during the 2008 electioneering campaign.
