Parliament on Friday March 16, passed the Presidential transition Bill into law.
The Bill which has now been passed into law is a legislation that intended to smoothen the transfer of political power from one administration to the other.
It will also help reduce critical challenges in past transitional processes that characterized the 2001 and 2009 transitions.
The foundation of the legislation is accountability and good governance, and proposes the establishment of a Presidential Estate Unit which will be headed by an Administrator-General to supervise the transition process.
