Deputy Director-General in charge of operations at the National Communications Authority (NCA), Prince Ofosu Sefah has donated some items to eight communities within the Kwahu South District of the Eastern Region.
The gesture forms part of the President of the Diaspora Patriots in Ghana’s (DPG) commitment towards the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.
Items donated include, 8 modernised hands-free Veronica buckets, medicated soaps, tissues, sanitizers, face masks and rubber buckets all amounting to the tune of about ¢20,000.
Beneficiary communities include Twenorase, Obo, Obomeng, Mpraeso, Asakraka, Bepong and Atibie.
Receiving the items on behalf of the communities, Assembly member for the Kwahu Asakraka electoral area, Frank Obibini Takyi thanked Mr Ofosu Sefah for the gesture.
He expressed optimism the communities will put the items to good use.
Speaking to journalists, the NCA Deputy Director General Prince Ofosu Sefah explained that that as an appointee of government and a native of Kwahu Asakraka and Obomeng, he deemed it fit to present the items to his people.
“We have done this as our widow’s might to augment what our other brothers and sisters have done as a means of being proactive in helping our people protect themselves against the pandemic,” he said.
He also lauded the efforts made by other natives of Kwahu in supporting their people to protect themselves in the fight against the global pandemic.
Prince Ofosu Sefah holds a Masters of Business Administration (Human Resources Management) from the University of Ghana, Legon and a Bachelor of Commerce (Information Technology Management) from Ryerson University, Toronto, Canada.
He holds many Professional Certifications including from Microsoft, has undertaken much professional training and attended many industry conferences and workshops.
He is the recipient of an Economics Book Prize (on the Economy of Developing Countries) awarded by Ryerson University.
Mr Sefah is also Business Systems Administer, Analysis and Management Professional as well as a Leader, with over 20 years professional experience, spanning manufacturing, banking, ICT and telecommunications sectors in Canada and Ghana.
He is currently a Board Member of the Accra Digital Centre, chairing its Technical & Operations Committee as well as a Board Member of the Institute of ICT Professionals Ghana.
