FIFA referee Joseph Lamptey alongside three other referees has been assigned by the Confederation of Africa Football (CAF) to handle continental assignments later this month.
Sources within the Referees Association of Ghana(RAG) has confirmed that, referee J.O Lamptey, would be at the center man with his assistants being A.S Malik, David Laryea and William Agbovi when Al Hilal of Sudan entertain their opponents AC Leopards from Congo in Omdurman, Sudan in a Champions league competition
The first leg for the CAF Champions League matches will be played on the 23rd, 24th of March this across the continent with the return legs taking place from 29th to 30th of this month.
The four appointed referees would leave the shores of the country three clear days before the match scheduled days.
Meanwhile referee Joseph Lamptey was the only Ghanaian to officiate in this year’s CHAN tournament.
