Truck drivers plying roads on the Eastern Corridor especially the Hohoe-Nkwanta section in the Volta Region have vented their anger on Roads and Highway Minister Joe Gidisu, over the deplorable state of the roads. Last week, Joy News reported that vehicles carrying food and other items from the hinterland have parked on the road and refusing to move in protest at the bad nature of the roads. Mr. Gidisu who went to the area following the report announced that government has secured a $100 million loan to construct the road. Joy News’ Anny Osabutey was with the minister and now reports in the attached audio. Play the attached audio for excerpts of the report
