One of the fathers of the Charismatic Movement in Ghana, Reverend Steve Mensah of the Charismatic Evangelistic Ministry (CEM), has publicly endorsed Asempa FM’s popular current affairs show, Ekosiisen.
According to him, Ekosiisen is a go-to programme for staying updated on national issues.
Speaking passionately about his loyalty to the show, Rev. Mensah praised Ekosiisen for its consistent coverage of current events and engaging discussions.
“I’m a keen listener of Ekosiisen and follow all the discussions—who is winning, who is losing, whatever is happening. That’s how I understand current issues because they are the most current radio station that discusses current things,” he said.
Rev. Mensah also described himself as a devoted fan of the show, crediting it for keeping him informed about the latest developments in the country.
“For Ekosiisen, I don’t miss it. I think this year, I haven’t missed it more than four or five times. Every day, when I sit in my car, my driver doesn’t tune in to anything apart from 94.7 – Asempa FM... I am a faithful listener.”
The revered pastor expressed his deep admiration for the programme and playfully noted that his loyalty deserves an award.
“There are other stations, but I am for Ekosiisen. I don’t know why they haven’t given me an award because I am one person who listens to them, but they don’t know me,” he said with a smile.
Asempa FM’s ‘Ekosiisen’ wins CIMG Radio Programme of the Year for the 3rd time
In September 2024, Ekosiisen, Ghana’s leading current affairs show on Asempa FM, a member of the Multimedia Media Group Limited, for the third time picked the award for the ‘Radio Programme of the Year’ 2023 at the Chartered Institute of Marketing Ghana (CIMG) Awards.
Asempa FM’s flagship political programme was acknowledged at the 35th CIMG Awards held at the Labadi Beach Hotel on Saturday, September 7, 2024.
The show, hosted by Philip Osei Bonsu, affectionately called O.B., who's also the Programme's Manager of the station, won the same award in 2018 and 2020.
The CIMG Awards, one of the most prestigious accolades in the marketing and media industry, are a benchmark for outstanding achievements in these fields.
