Government says any decision to review the tax holidays granted multinationals entering Ghana will be carried out in the best interest of the nation.In a bid to woo foreign investors to Ghana, a 5 year tax holiday is offered multinationals who choose Ghana as their investment destination.On the sidelines of the just ended G8 summit, President John Mahama made it clear the tax holidays, was injurious to the state coffers, especially where such multinationals change hands every five years to evade tax.At the daily briefings held at the Presidency, Deputy Information Minister Felix Kwakye explained although a decision is yet to be taken, there are enough safeguards to ensure the system is not abused.
