The five-member committee headed by Head of Clinical Services at the Hospital, Dr. Emmanuel Srofenyo, was constituted on the orders of the Medical Director, Dr. Emmanuel Obeng Apori.
The committee which was inaugurated on Tuesday, October 21, is expected to begin work next Monday, October 2, 2014.

He told Joy News they were turned away by the doctor on duty who told them he was tired and could not attend to his son.
Hospital authorities initially said they were unaware of the incident and could not investigate until a formal complaint had been filed.

“The Director of the hospital has set up a high powered committee to investigate the issue…Based on the recommendations of the committee, management will take an action,” Mr. Taadi said.
