Shortly after the incident, the bus driver, Christian Blay told Asempa FM that the deceased who is yet to be identified, is a female of about 30 years.
Blay said at least four other vehicles were also robbed, while another person on his bus has been rushed to the Asankraguaa Government Hospital in critical condition after he was shot in the forehead by the robbers.
Christian Blay said the robbers ordered him to drive the bus from the scene soon after the incident which he complied with, but drove to the Asankragua Police station to report.
An officer on duty at the Asankragua Police Station confirmed the incident to Asempa FM but refused to comment further.
The coordinator of the Yutong bus, Peter Akoto said the robbers shot indiscriminately into the bus and killed one of the passengers.
