Dr. Ron Kenoly, headline artiste for Adom Praiz 2011 arrives in Ghana today, three clear days ahead of the event which comes off on Saturday, August 27 at the Dome of the Accra International Conference Centre.
Dr Kenoly is a celebrated American praise and worship leader, singer, songwriter and Minister whose songs are not only well known and loved in the Western world but in Ghana as well.
He began working in full time ministry in 1985 when he started out as a worship leader at Jubilee Christian Center in San Jose, California.
Not long after that, in 1987, he was ordained and installed as Music Pastor. As worship leader, his sole focus was leading worship service.
His first and only visit to Ghana was in 1997 and his arrival for Adom Praiz 2011 is highly anticipated.
Unlike the drama that surrounded last year’s edition when headline artiste, Cece Winans was unable to arrive on the scheduled date for the concert because of flight delays, management of Adom FM have assured that Dr Kenoly will arrive on schedule this time around.
According to Edward Entee, who is the Sales and Marketing Manager of Adom FM, barring any unforeseen hitches, all is set to welcome Dr Ron Kenoly back to Ghana.
Mr Entee disclosed that the singer and his band will arrive this afternoon on a United Airlines flight and after a stop at his hotel; he will be a special guest on Adom FM’s Drive programme, Ofiekwanso.
To drive the excitement to a peak, Dr Kenoly will feature on Adom FM’s morning show, Dwaso Nsem with Frimpong Manso Adakabre and will later be hosted on Multi TV’s Jesus Corner.
He will also be on other platforms within the Multimedia Group and other partner stations.
Dr Kenoly will in the later hours of Thursday and the better part of Friday, be in rehearsal with his band at the Dome in preparation for Saturday.
Edward Entee said they had been in constant communication with Dr Kenoly’s team and as at this morning, he was already on board his flight to Ghana.
Dr Kenoly will be supported by a select group of local artistes including Cecilia Marfo, Stella Aba Seal, Mary Ghansah, Nii Okai, Daughters of Glorious Jesus, Soul Winners, Cindy Thompson and Philipa Baafi.
